Today I've got some more card inspiration using this fun FREE Printable kit.  My first card uses one of my favorite "go to" stamp sets - Bouquet of Love.  This stamp set is perfect for so many occasions and I've given LOTS of cards... so many that I need to be careful that I'm not giving the same card to the same people.  hahaha 

For this card, I simply cut out the sentiment from one of the 3" x 4" cards and added it as the sentiment.  Easy Peasy!  A little Toffee Twine adds a nice finishing touch.

This set combines two of the journaling cards in the kit.  I first stamped YOU ARE from a stamp in the Fierce stamp set - another favorite! It was easy to get perfect placement with my stamp positioner.  Do you use one?  It's my most trusted tool and never far from my crafting space.

I love the effect of the Ribbon die cut from the paint chip journaling card.  

This next card is for one of my daughters who has been working super hard to prep for the SAT test that is happening TODAY.  Life can be so challenging at times but she ALWAYS pushes herself past her fears and struggles to make good stuff happen.  And, she's always kind and supportive to her friends and fellow classmates - even getting up extra-early this morning to drive another student to the test.  Please send your positive test vibes to her!

The Label Maker stamp set gets a LOT of use around here!  This card took about 3 minutes from start to finish but I know my daughter is going to LOVE it!

Fight Like A Girl FREE Printable Kit

I've got some exciting news to share with you today!  As part of our efforts to Stamp Out Breast Cancer, we have designed a Printable Journaling and Card-Making card kit.  The best news... for the month of October, you can download this kit for FREE.

FIGHT LIKE A GIRL PRINTABLE KIT

The Fight Like A Girl Printable kit includes six 3" x 4" cards that you can use in your scrapbook or on your cards. 

Have you tried our Printable Kits before?  If not, they're REALLY easy to use!  To get your free kit, you'll need to visit our website and "order" this item.  Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email with a  link to the file.  (If you do not receive the email, be sure to check your SPAM or Junk mail folder.)  The file that you will receive is a PDF file that can be easily printed from any computer.

For GREAT results, you may want to try the following:

1. Experiment with different types of cardstock.  Our Sugar (white) cardstock works great and so does Matte Photo Paper.  I LOVE Canon's PIXMA Photo Paper (MP-101)
2. Try different Printer settings.  Most printers have several settings to choose from:  Normal, Fine and Quality (or something similar depending on your printer).  The colors and results will vary by print setting and printer.
3. Do your solid color blocks look streaky?  It may be time to refresh your ink supply (follow the instructions that came with your printer).  With an InkJet printer, you may need to do a "head alignment" or a head cleaning".  These will correct most printer issues and can make a big difference in the quality of your printout... especially if it's been a while since these were done.

The cards in this kit can be printed and used on their own or you can combine them with any other stamps you may own.  I decided to use my Fight Like A Girl stamp set to use since we're giving this set away for FREE ($3 s&h USA, $7 s&h INTL) this month.

For this first card, I used the HOPE stamp with the pink paint chip card from the kit.  I used my stamp positioner to control the placement of the stamp and also to re-stamp the words when necessary.  I started at the BOTTOM of the card and stamped the word HOPE twice to get a crisp black image.  I then inked up my stamp and moved up to the next color bar.  I stamped the word once.  I did NOT ink my stamp for the next bar or the top bar to have a faded look.   

 

I quite liked the look of just the word HOPE stamped on the colored background but felt like it needed something.  I stamped the Ribbon image from the Fight Like A Girl stamp set on A Muse Studio Vellum Paper and embossed it with clear powder. Once it was cool to touch, I used the Ribbon die to cut out the image.

TIP!  It can be tricky to get a good impression on vellum so if you use your stamp positioner you are able to stamp it a few times for a great impression.

This next card combines TWO of the printable cards.  I started by cutting out the word beautiful with the Large Fishtail Tag die.  I then stamped "You're" in Blush ink on the tag.  

I then had the idea to cut the ribbon die out of the paint chip card and was very excited with the results.  I love paint chips and have been collecting them to find the perfect paint color for our bathroom so maybe I'm a little too fond of paint chips at the moment?  What do you think?  

For this next card, I also combined two of the printable cards - the heart and STRONG cards.  This is an uplifting card that can be given for lots of reasons!  

I used one of the Word Window dies to cut out the word STRONG.  Love this!  

Some other awesome products used on this card:  Tag Bundle (for the stitched frame) and Redwood Background stamp for the soft, organic background.

Stamp Out Breast Cancer

Happy Monday and Happy October!  It's an exciting month here at A Muse Studio and I've got much to share with you today.  

STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER

For the past FIVE years, we have been working to help spread the message that early detection of breast cancer saves lives.  This is an important message that is as relevant today as in 2011 when we launched our Stamp Out Breast Cancer campaign.  Our goal is to reach 10,000 stampers by offering a FREE Fight Like a Girl stamp set.  So far, we’ve reached over 5,000 stampers which is great but there’s still work to do and we need your help.

FIGHT LIKE A GIRL

For the entire month of OCTOBER, A Muse Studio will be offering our Fight Like a Girl stamp set for FREE ($3 s+h). If you already own this set, please help my letting all your crafty friends know about this wonderful stamp set.

The Fight Like a Girl stamp set includes 9 stamps total – a beautiful, stylized ribbon image, 7 encouraging sentiments and a push-pin.  The push-pin image is included to mark important dates on your calendar such as monthly self-check exams.  In conjunction with the Fight Like A Girl stamp set, we are also offering a FREE Printable 15-month 2017-2018 Calendar.  This is a full page (8.5" x 11") calendar that comes as a PDF file for easy printing.  I'll tell you how you can get the calendar download and more at the end of this post.

Lisa's card is very pretty in pink!  I love the ombre pink circle she created as the focal point for the Fight Like A Girl sentiment.  Bubblegum sequins are a pretty addition!

The ribbon stamped in pink on pink is soft and sweet and beautifully balanced with the sentiment in bold black.

2017 June Collection - Sneak Peeks FINAL DAY

Hello and welcome to our FINAL day of Sneak Peeks for the 2017 June Collection. 

Today's stamp set is called Hey Gullfriend.  This set, was also designed by Nina and is a super fun set for summer. A matching die set is available.

This stamp set includes these fun flip flops along with two gulls, a happy sunshine, heart shaped sunglasses, and eight fabulous sentiments.
