September Guest Designer - Jessica Pascarella Day 2

Hello!  I'm back with more spooky cards from Guest Designer Jessica Pascarella! 

Jessica's first card today features the two ghosts from "In the Shadows" along with a sneaky little ghost from "Tiny Treats".  White pigment ink on onyx cardstock normally make a great chalkboard effect, but it also works perfectly for ghosts!

Jessica's next card features the Haunted Manson background.  This time, she stamped it in black, added some red ink, and a sentiment from "In the Shadows" - giving it a completely different look from the gold embossed design I shared last week!

September Guest Designer - Deepti Stephens

Hello! I'm back to introduce our second September guest designer - Deepti Stephens!  

Here are a few words from Deepti: 

"Hello! I am Deepti (deep-tea) Stephens.  I come from a very small town in India - Chittoor and live with my hubby (Andy). I am a very passionate card maker, blogger, and YouTuber. I love to try and experiment with new products and techniques and I love to make cards in different styles. I am very energetic and enthusiastic when it comes only to Paper Crafting. LOL! just kidding! My daily routine would be like finishing all my household chores in time and escaping to my workstation. This first card from Deepti features our Ghostly Greetings stamp set.  Deepti layered the ghosts and adhered two of them with 3D foam adhesive for a little added dimension.  Such a happy and fun card!

September Guest Designer - Jessica Pascarella

Hello - Emily Montenaro here!  I'm back to share our September Guest Designers with you!  

Today I am pleased to introduce our first September guest designer - Jessica Pascarella.

"Hello! My name is Jessica Pascarella. I am an Okie living in Texas! I am a proud housewife and mother of 3 kiddos. I use school-time as my crafting time. I have been a cardmaker for the past 13 years. I recently have started to do my scrapbooking and Bible journaling. This month, our Guest Designers will be featuring some of our favorite fall and Halloween stamps! Jessica's first design today features our Thankful For You stamp set.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and I LOVE the colors and subtle leaves in the background on this card - gorgeous!

The leaves are just as stunning when embossed in gold on this next design - so simple and pretty!

Jessica's last design today features our Haunted Mansion background.  Jessica embossed it in gold and paired it with the Thankful for You sentiment.  So classy with the gold embossing on Navy cardstock!

More September Collection inspiration

Hello and happy 1st of September!  The last week of August is always bittersweet for me... I'm sad to see summer go but so excited for fall.  Our new 2017 September Collection has gotten me in the mood to make fall cards!

September is a popular time for personal resolutions and this fall I have made a few: 1) Do something creative every day and 2) get back to the gym after taking the summer off due to surgery.  I could make a much BIGGER list (couldn't we all?) but decided that two seems do-able.  Have you made any September resolutions?  Care to join me on my crafty quest?

Here's a peek at my crafty card-making adventure for today.  Today's card features the new Eat Drink and Be Thankful stamp set.  It's quickly become my new fave for several reasons: 

1) TWO awesome sentiments
2) gorgeous fall nature images

This card was fun and easy to make.  I love our Redwood Background stamp but sometimes it can overpower the rest of the card so I softened it here by adding a piece of Radiant White Vellum paper.  The photo doesn't show the background through the vellum but in real life you can still see it but it's just a LOT softer.

 

I first stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and then created a mask with a small border to cover it.  This allowed me to stamp the oak leaf over the mask and gives the appearance that the sentiment is floating above the leaves when you remove the mask.  Masking is such a simple technique but can really enhance your card.
