As a former "dance mom", I have spent many years involved with the Nutcracker. My oldest daughter, performed for three seasons in the Pacific Northwest Ballet's Nutcracker. The first year she was a red infantry soldier, the next year she was an infantry officer and the following year she was honored to perform as young Clara. For many families, like mine, Nutcracker is a holiday tradition.
Here are pretty holiday tags made using our Dance stamp set.
For this first tag, I simply embossed the dancer in white on an Apple colored fishtail tag. I added some sparkle to the tag by embossing a tiny snowflake from our Hello Deer stamp set (November Collection) with our Diamond embossing powder. When I want "sparkle with staying power", I always use Diamond embossing powder. It's like a clear embossing powder with added glitter.
I just happened to have a spare glittery snowflake so I added it to this tag.
One of my favorite parts is the Snowflake scene. PNB's Stowell & Sendak Snow costumes were so pretty and all the little ballerinas were in awe of these costumes. This next tag was inspired by these blue costumes.
Happy Nutcracker season! I'd love to hear if you make this part of your holiday celebration... where do you see it and what do you love about it.
Have a crafty day,
We go see the Boston Ballet perform The Nutcracker every few years amd stsrted when my sons were small. We usually go out for dinner before and then a special dessert place after. It is a fun holiday tradition. This year the next generation is starting to go with their girlfriends!
