I love to make gift tags! Don't you? They are so easy and fun and I feel so accomplished when I'm done. I also don't feel too bad when I mess a few up because they are gift tags, right? The problem is that there is a limit as to how many gift tags you can personally use. A few years ago when faced with an abundance of gift tags, I decided that I would *gift* my gift tags and guess what? People LOVED them! So, now I make them every year as gifts! They are a great gift for teachers, neighbors, family, friends... just about anyone! Over the next few days I will be sharing a few of the gift tags that I've been making.
Today's tags feature the holiday messages from A Handwritten Holiday stamp set. These holiday messages are very swirly and pretty so I thought they'd look really great heat embossed in gold on Kraft cardstock. The tags are 4.25" long x 2.25" wide. You can get 8 from one sheet of cardstock. I snipped the corners with scissors and punched a hole with a hand punch. Easy!
You'll see I added some Marshmallow & Golddust Splash! droplets to the tags for fun.
To make the tiny droplets of Splash! I opened the top of the Splash! bottle and held the plastic tube for the spray in one hand and then tapped it. This usually gives you nice small droplets.
Red & white baker's cording adds a festive touch!
What crafty projects are you working on right now?
