We're Having an Easter Party!

Happy Friday! Sorry I've been MIA this week. I hurt my back while running on Monday making life a little more challenging. It's better now... just in time too!

Are you excited about Easter? Growing up, my family spent every holiday at my grandmother's house. My mother had 12 brothers and sisters and I have 36 first cousins who used to all live in the same town (the smallest municipality in Canada!). Most of the permanent residents were my family so it made for very fun and festive family gatherings. For Easter we celebrated with turkey and lots of homemade pies. I'm sure there were lots of other things but I mostly remember the turkey and pies. LOL

Our celebration will be much quieter than those when I was a kid. As an adult, I am sure it is less stressful this way... something I didn't fully appreciate when I was younger.

Here's a peek at some of my Easter party prep. I made this banner a few weeks ago and it is hanging from the railing in the main foyer. I used our Fishtail Pennant, Easter Basket and Heart Trio die sets. The banner pieces are tied together with our Vanilla Twine.

Here's a closer look... I love the heart in the middle of the banner.

These place cards were fun and super easy to make. I used a 4" square of our Kraft cardstock and scored it in the middle. The folded size is 4"w x 2"h. I used our egg and grass dies.

Here you can see that no two cards are the exact same.

It's easy to fancy up your plastic cutlery and paper napkins. Simply wrap some pretty satin ribbon around them and insert a cute bunny die cut. Adorable!

These sweet little Easter baskets were so fun to make. I used our Cupcake Wrap die set (the full size cupcake die) which is on sale this month (SAVE 25%!) I added a handle (.5"W c 8.5"L), a plain white cupcake liner and some pretty flowers for decorations.

They are filled with Trader Joe's gum drops - my girls LOVE these!

Here's a fun use for our Berry Box die set... chubby carrots! (This die set is also on SALE this month! Save 25%!) You can make two carrots from one sheet of cardstock.

There is a *lot* of room for treats inside this box. I added Hershey's kisses.

A few weeks ago, I joined Barbara Bondra, one our Founding Creative Consultants, for a Workshop she was doing in Charlotte. She introduced me to these mini Hershey chocolate bars. I think the mice in my house liked the pink and gold ones because there were only green and blue ones left when I went to fill these treat bags. Hmmmm.

These are so easy to make with our Kraft treat bags, a die and a stamp. You can make a bunch in about 15 minutes!

A party is not a party without some pretty beverages, right? Here I wrapped some Baker's Cording around the glass bottles and added a bunny and pretty paper straws.

Wow, wish I was able to stop in and check these out in person. Hope your back is better (I'm struggling with mine this week too so I feel your pain!) but I see your creative juices did not suffer!! Love every single idea here!!
