Our Spring Accessories Catalog and Inspiration Guide will be available on March 1st. I hope you are getting excited!
I cannot tell you HOW MUCH I love our new hand-scripted word dies. They are the perfect size and the hand-writing feels just right. I have some fun previews for you today that feature the 'hello' die. This die measures 2-1/2" x 1".
For this first card, I die cut the word hello from one of our brand new 6 x 6 patterned papers. I know... it's hard to see the pattern in such a small snippet. It's gorgeous and I will definitely be showing more of the Everything's Rosy patterned papers in an upcoming Spring Preview post.
This card was so easy! First I stamped the silhouette of the USA in Bermuda ink, the tiny heart in Berry ink, adhered 'hello' with my Quickie Glue Pen and added a bit of postal stripe washi (from our keep calm assortment). My daughter spotted this card shortly after it all came together and begged me to let her have it to send to her friend. (I said she could but I needed to snap a photo first.)
This next card was fun to make. I stamped the Darling Dots Background stamp in Bermuda Ink on Slate cardstock. The word hello is mounted on one of our Vintage Label 2 dies. You'll see another new product on this card - our Flowers Die Set. This set is a must-have so add it to your wish list right now! There are 8 flowers and 3 leaves for only $9.99. The flowers are fun on their own and fun to layer.
To make my flower embellishment, I adhered the leaves on the bottom of the label. The longer "leaf" (left) is not actually a leaf from the set - it is the center from one of the 'l' letters in the word hello. It was the same color as the other leaves and I liked the way it looked. I then layered two of the flowers for added dimension. I started with all pink flowers but decided I wanted more contrast so rather than cutting more flowers from a darker cardstock, I simply grabbed my Copic markers and colored the flower in the center a darker shade of pink. Pretty nifty! There's a pink mini dot Twinkle Sticker in the center of the flower.
It seems that after a crazy snow storm last week that included three missed school days for my girls, Spring has arrived here in North Carolina. It was sunny and 70F today. For this card, I used floral images from the Clever Girls and Graphic Sunflower stamp sets. The flowers are stamped in Papaya, Grapefruit and Berry ink. The word 'hello' is die cut from Lime cardstock (this is how I had the inner loop of the 'l' for the card above.) Hello spring!
I hope you are enjoying these preview posts and starting to build your wish list. I had so much fun with the 'hello' die that I have more cards to share with you tomorrow so come on back!
Happy stamps!
Really loving that first one. I don't know why red and blue alternating stripes is associated with international letters, but it means you can use washi tape to convey that feeling right away, which is cool. I love the effect along with the US map and the hello. Very cool!
