I love to decorate for Halloween. And, with just 15 days left to decorate, we have kicked things into high gear at my house! I recently moved and our box of Halloween decorations seems to be missing. Hopefully we'll find it soon but I've been missing my favorite Halloween decoration - a fabric banner that was made for me by a friend. Inspired by memories of this this banner, I decided to make one and I'm really pleased with the results.
The A Muse Studio Fishtail Pennant Die Set makes banner-making fun! The set includes two dies - a large and a small.
The large pennant die easily cuts four pennants from one sheet of cardstock. I use a little washi tape to hold the die in place.
Once the penants were cut, I pulled out a bunch of Halloween stamp sets and dies to embellish. I am loving the combination of our new Mr. Bones stamp set with the Nevermore stamp set that was released last Holiday. They are the perfect complement!
I am also LOVING our new Tall Alphabet Die Set. There are 39 pieces in this set for only $19.99! One of my favorite things... there is a letter 'O' and the number '0' and they are the SAME so when you are spelling out words like SPOOKY or BOO you just need to make one cut.
I cut the alphabet out of Shimmer Couture cardstock and WOW! It's fabulous! The letters cut beautifully and are so pretty! The shimmer is really great. You must try this!
I used a|s black satin ribbon to join the pennants together and guess what? They look like bats! What a happy discovery!
Here's a look at the right side of the banner...
I've got more Halloween ideas to share this week. Stay tuned and have a beautiful day!
