Hello and thanks for stopping by.
I used four different A Muse Studio papers:
I used some of our Splash! inks (Blush & Berry) and a cheap paintbrush to make fun designs on the hearts. I had fun drawing lines and swirls and it was a relaxing project. I had no real plans for these hearts but after seeing them on my craft table for a few days, I decided it was a shame to waste them so last night I sat down and made these three quick and easy valentines.
This heart was die cut from our Watercolor paper. It's positively yummy! I used my paintbrush to pre-wet the heart and then I diluted some Berry Splash! with water and dropped several drops on the heart. I lightly spread a bit of the color with my paintbrush and also blew on it a bit. The paper warped a bit as things were drying which made fun patterns. I could have heat set it to avoid the lines but I like them.
We found a box of grapefruit chevron paper in the warehouse so you'll find it for sale on the website. It's FUN for Valentines cards and tags. There's just a bit left so I'd grab some now.
The sweet sequins are from the Valentine Mix - Assorted Hearts. This is a fun mix!
MOCHA ME HAPPY
This next card came together pretty quickly as well. I love coffee but our coffee maker is on the fritz so I am going through a bit of withdrawal. It's a mental thing because I only drink decaf but I miss the smell and the warmth and the ritual of having coffee in the morning. Maybe now we can get a Keurig? IF you have one, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I am concerned a bit about the waste created but the pods... I digress... on with the card!
The coffee cup stamp (with matching die) is from the Mocha Me Happy stamp set. There is a heart in the set but since I already had a bunch, I thought I'd use one of them. I stamped Love You, also from the same set, on the heart. This is on watercolor paper but the stamping is still pretty crisp... that's good quality rubber for ya!
Here's a close up of the heart.
I love our Petite Hexagon cardstock but sometimes it feels to overpowering. To soften things a bit, I die cut a vellum (cardstock) stitched circle. Happy Valentine's Day is from My Punny Valentine - another awesome set! I added a few more sequins from our Valentine Mix - Assorted Hearts.
These next hearts were made from A Muse Studio Coasterboard. It's a fun paper to work with. It's highly absorbent - it's what they make coasters from! I used Berry and Grapefruit Splash to draw some simple lines.
I used my Quickie Glue Pen an Diamond Glitter to add a little extra pop on these hearts. It's these extra touches that make a card go from good to wow, in my opinion. The Happy Valentine's Day stamp is from the Mocha Me Happy stamp set.
I hope you are eager to make some Splash! ink hearts. It's a good way to spend some crafty time. Please let me know if you have any questions about these cards or the products I used.
Have a crafty day!
