I love fall. The leaves are falling like mad here in NC and the air is so fresh! This fall has been a little too rainy for my liking but we're about to get a week full of sunshine. So excited!
It's been a busy few weeks. I was in Seattle for a few days visiting with my oldest daughter and watching her last regular-season football game (she's a cheerleader.) I cannot believe she is a high school senior... seems like yesterday that I was taking her to her first ballet class (age 3!) Where did the time go?!
It was a chilly night. She's the 2nd from the left in this photo.
Go, Fight, Win!
She's so flexible! All those years of ballet training...
We returned to NC and prepped like mad for our first Great Outdoors Halloween Party. Had lots of fun making a life-size witch, cats, tombstones, ghosts, etc. The highlight for me was the 9-foot grim reaper that we crafted out of wood, chicken wire, black plastic sheeting and cheese cloth. So fun! The spooky woods trail the kids made was a huge hit as was the outdoor movie screening of Ghostbusters.
Here's what the Grim Reeper looked like after we hung it up. Creepy!
This next photo gives you a better sense of just how BIG it is! (My "baby", Makenna, is in the middle. She's almost as tall as I am now!)
These mummy Oreos were inspired by some far fancier mummy macarons that Heather (A Muse Studio Chief Creative Officer) made. I "frosted" Oreos with melted white chocolate and Makenna decorated them by drizzling the remaining melted white chocolate. The candy eyes are made by Wilton. So fun!
Last weekend we were in Edison, NJ for the Stamp & Scrap Art Tour. It was a great show. Our booth was slammed all day and we met wonderful, crafty ladies from NJ, CT, NY and beyond! We did hundreds of free make & takes and had several new Consultants join our team. So fun!
We sold out of bow makers, mini and extra small bow dies and candy package dies by noon the first day!
Special thanks to A Muse Studio founding Consultant, Barbara Bondra, and her good friend, Roni Jones for their tireless efforts to help spread the news about A Muse Studio. Seriously... these two are AMAZING and I am forever grateful!
This post started because I have a couple of fun fall cards and treats that I wanted to share. Sorry for getting a little off track.
This first card combines our Mini Blooms and Love & Thanks stamp sets. The sentiment is from the Hey Foxy stamp set. I used Orange, Pumpkin, Wheat, Fern, Wasabi and Evergreen inks to create this fall fiesta of color. Orange twinkle stickers and Buttercup 4mm sequins add the perfect finishing touch.
For this next card, I leveraged the colors and images from the Happy Fall card above. The sentiment, Thankful For You, is from Essential Sentiments Too.
While I had those inks and supplies out, I created these sweet fall treats.
I just LOVE how easy it is to create fabulous cards and treats for any holiday or celebration with A Muse Studio products.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
